Star Health Medi Classic

Today, medical expenses are very high and still increasing in a rapid force. Even small treatment or an appointment with a doctor cause you to pay a lots of money. In this situation, having health insurance is very important because coverage helps people to get timely medical care facilities.

Medi Classic is one of the popular health insurance from Star Health insurance. This plan is specially designed to provide reimbursement for all kind of hospitalization expenses incurred as a result of sickness/illness/diseases and accidental injuries.

The following expenses are covered under Star Health Medi Classic-

Hospitalization Cover- It covers insured person for in-patient hospitalization expenses for more than 24 hours hospitalization. It includes-room rent and boarding expenses up to 2% of the sum insured(subject to maximum of a Rs.4000/- per day), surgeons fees, anesthetists fees, consultant fees, specialist fees, nursing expenses, operation theatre charges, ICU charges, cost of medicines an drugs, anesthesia, blood, oxygen, diagnostic materials, x-ray, dialysis, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgical appliance, cost of pacemaker, etc. It’s also cover emergency ambulance charges up to sum of Rs.750/- per hospitalization and overall limit of Rs.1500/-.

Pre and post hospitalization Cover- It covers pre-hospitalization expenses up to 30 days prior to date of admission in hospital. Post-hospitalization expenses cover is based on lump sum calculated at 7% of the total hospitalization expenses(excluding room charges), subject to maximum of Rs.5000/-

Pre-existing Conditions Cover-Pre-existing diseases are covered after 4 continuous insurance.

Non Allopathic Treatment-The cover is provided for non-allopathic treatment up to Rs.25,000/-, subject to maximum of 25% of the sum insured.

Optional Benefits-Hospital cash, patient care and new born baby cover is available on payment of additional premium.
